The program Cost/Schedule Control Analyst III sets up a cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on contracts requiring a validated cost schedule control system. This position reports directly to the Business Manager and has accountability over general tasks required to support the program or business area. The position has periodic contact with individuals inside and outside the organization.Essential Duties:

  • Performs analyses and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.

  • Prepares budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.

  • Prepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statements of work are captured and scheduled.

  • Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program costs and scheduling risks.

  • Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing the preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.

  • Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract costs and schedule baselines.

  • Set up and maintain programs in SAP, prepare, analyze, and review weekly and monthly internal and external financial reporting for tracking and forecasting of bookings, funding, sales, profit, cost, cash, and deliverables utilizing SAP, Excel, and other internal operating systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance AND at least 4+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience (Associate's Degree AND at least 8 years of experience OR H/S Diploma AND at least 12 years of experience.)

  • 1-2 years of experience in DOD is preferred.

  • DCAA/DCMA Interface experience preferred.

  • DoD Contract Financial Reporting experience is required.

  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Excel & Project).

  • SAP experience required.

  • Some travel will be required.

  • Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instructions.

  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data.

  • Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance

  • Hands-on, Self-Starter who can multi-task and work effectively across departments and with internal and external customers.

Physical Requirements: Primarily manufacturing/assembly environment. Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: noise, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, and electrical current. Must be able to bend and reach. Must have close visual acuity such as viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines, and/or assembly or fabrication parts at close distance to the eyes. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to maneuver up to 20 pounds. Will be performing substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
