Federal Signal Intern - Manufacturing Engineering in Crete, Illinois

Federal Signal is looking to hire for our 2025 Summer Internship Program!

Those hired for the program will work from May 19, 2025 through August 8, 2025.

We are looking for a student that is pursuing a 4-yr degree in Manufacturing Engineering.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Engineering - Students pursuing a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering. Potential projects listed below:

  • Assist the team with various engineering projects such as:

  • Work Cell Optimization

  • Labeling

  • Equipment set up

  • Assist with ISO compliance

  • Assist with Cost reduction initiatives related to production

  • Optimize automation for better uptime

  • Review and repair all of our in-house fixtures.

Position Requirements

  • Undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor's degree in the major listed above

  • Student must have completed their sophomore year of college

  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Mechanical and electrical Aptitude

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
