Cullman Electric Cooperative is seeking highly qualified, talented and motivated applicants for the position of Accountant 1. The individual in this position will be responsible for performing a variety of routine bookkeeping and accounting tasks which could include billing, reconciliations, accounts payable and cash receipts for both Cullman Electric Cooperative and Sprout Fiber Internet.
The successful candidate should have an Associates degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis on Accounting or Business.
A minimum of five (5) years related experience is required.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, AND REQUIREMENTS:
Competencies for this position include the ability to maintain confidentiality, demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, work ethically and with integrity, uphold organizational values, complete administrative tasks correctly and timely, and deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required include excellent computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, accounting software, database software and Windows based applications. Candidates must demonstrate excellent skills in communication and possess the ability to work as a team member.
