Robert Half Accounting Manager in Dallas, Texas

Description

We are on the hunt for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This role is centered on full cycle accounting, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, payroll input for new employees, job costing, and comprehensive reporting. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive and professional environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes

• Manage the full cycle accounting process including month-end close

• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accountants

• Utilize Sage 300 CRE for various accounting tasks

• Manage the preparation and publication of departmental and organization financial documents

• Collaborate with executive team members to make decisions regarding company's financial strategy and operations

• Create and manage budgeting processes

• Use ADP Financial Services for various accounting tasks

• Manage the company's financial reporting processes

• Implement and monitor internal controls (SOX compliance)

• Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws.

Requirements

• Must hold a managerial role in accounting for at least 3 years

• Proficient in ADP - Financial Services

• Skilled in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Sage 300 software is a necessity

• Experience with ADP - Payroll is required

• Must have knowledge in Full Cycle Accounting

• Proficient in preparing and analyzing Financial Reporting

• Strong communication and leadership skills are essential

• Must have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to manage and lead a team

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
