As a member of the Corporate Accounting group, the Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing all vendor purchase orders, invoices and payments.
Essential Functions:
Ensure the accurate processing of International and Domestic Invoices
Analyze and review the accuracy of coding invoices.
Perform root-cause analysis and problem solving of discrepancies and unresolved issues.
Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to ensure accurate coding and approval of invoices.
Maintain effective communication with internal and external vendors.
Monthly Vendor Statement review to proactively avoid aging payables.
Reply to vendor requests and inquiries in a timely manner.
Serve as back-up to team members during time off or increased workload.
Ability to work effectively across the organization and with all levels.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Assist in Month-End process.
Yearly Audit Support
Execute special projects as assigned.
Assist with annual preparation of 1099’s.
Minimum Requirements:
5+ years Accounts Payable Experience
Must be detail oriented.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Yardi accounting software experience a plus.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
International invoice processing experience and understanding of foreign currency.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college-level accounting courses preferred
