ARAMARK Logistics Director I in DALLAS, Texas

Job Description

Responsible for the management and process improvement activity of domestic and international inbound and outbound transportation operations across all modes of transport. Full P&L ownership for Private Fleet Operations and Common Carrier activity.

Job Responsibilities

Lead a team of transportation professionals to achieve best-in-class service while optimizing transportation expenses and ensuring a high-level of employee engagement. Strong business acumen is necessary.

Experience and ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a closeknit matrix organization. Passion for creative, out of the box thinking to develop solutions for the business. Communicate effectively and succinctly at all levels of the organization. Ability to influence others and communicate in an open and honest way that quickly builds trust and respect.

Qualifications

Five to ten years of direct leadership experience in a large-scale DC and Fulfillment operation with both Private/Dedicate Fleet and Common Carrier operations.

Extensive transportation industry knowledge and experience across all modes of transport including LTL, TL, intermodal, parcel, ocean, and private/dedicated fleet operations.

Significant Carrier Management experience including negotiating transportation agreements, leading carrier business reviews as well as capital equipment procurement.

Bachelor's degree with concentration in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations Management is required. MBA preferred. Formal Lean and/or Six-Sigma training is beneficial.

Demonstrated expertise utilizing MS Excel and Access to complete comprehensive Distribution and Logistics analysis. Proficiency with TMS systems and Fleet Routing applications. Expert knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations.
