Description

Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Payroll and Benefits Manager. The Payroll and Benefits Manager will oversee all aspects of payroll processing and employee benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and benefit programs, along with exceptional organizational and communication skills.

  • Utilize Workday software to manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Review and verify timesheets, attendance records, and other payroll inputs within the Workday system.

  • Calculate and process employee wages, bonuses, commissions, and deductions using Workday's payroll functionalities.

  • Address any discrepancies or issues related to payroll within the Workday system in a timely manner.

  • Leverage Workday's benefits administration module to administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits.

  • Coordinate enrollment, changes, and terminations for employee benefit plans directly within the Workday platform.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefit-related inquiries and issues, utilizing Workday's self-service features.

  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure accurate and up-to-date benefit information is maintained in the Workday system.

  • Utilize Workday's reporting capabilities to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and tax regulations.

  • Prepare and file payroll tax returns and other required reports using Workday's reporting tools in a timely manner.

  • Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll laws and regulations, and implement necessary updates to policies and procedures within the Workday system.

  • Utilize Workday's record-keeping features to maintain accurate records of employee wages, benefits, and deductions.

  • Generate regular reports on payroll and benefit expenses, trends, and variances using Workday's reporting functionalities.

  • Provide financial and operational analysis related to payroll and benefits using data extracted from the Workday system as needed.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage Workday functionalities to streamline payroll and benefits processes and improve efficiency.

  • Work closely with the HRIS team to implement best practices and automation tools within the Workday system to enhance accuracy and effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Workday payroll and benefits systems with other HR and finance systems for seamless data flow and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field (preferred).

  • Proven experience as a payroll manager or in a similar role, with experience using Workday for payroll processing and benefits administration.

  • Thorough knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and benefit programs.

  • Proficiency in Workday software and MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
