Salad and Go Senior Manager of Procurement in Dallas, Texas

This position requires sourcing and procurement experience in the food service industry including produce procurement experience.

This position also requires working onsite at our office in the Dallas, TX area 4-5 days per week.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager of Procurement to lead our sourcing efforts and team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement initiatives to ensure efficient sourcing of food products or materials, that meet or exceed our quality standards while building and maintaining supplier relationships across our supply chain. The Senior Manager of Procurement will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and supporting our company’s growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic sourcing process to identify, evaluate, and select supplier partners that meet our quality standards, cost objectives and delivery requirements.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with supplier partners, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.

  • Develop and implement cost savings strategies and initiatives to optimize procurement costs while maintaining product quality and service levels.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize the supply chain, improve inventory management practices and enhance operational efficiency out our stores, central kitchens, and broadline distribution.

  • Identify and mitigate procurement related risks, such as supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, and quality issues, to ensure uninterrupted operations and supply.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function, implement best practices, and leverage technology solutions to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

  • Oversee the contract management process, including contract negotiations, supplier selection, distribution price accuracy, and performance monitoring, to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in new product and menu launch initiatives, ensuring on time and on budget raw material supply.

  • Provide raw material price budget and forecast guidance to key stakeholders to help build organizational P/L.

  • Provide leadership, guidance and coaching to the procurement team, foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and intellectual curiosity.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent work experience.

  • 7+ years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the food service industry with prior produce procurement experience.

  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop and build relationships with supplier partners and internal stakeholders.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Proficient in ERP and WMS systems.

  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
