VCA Animal Hospitals Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant in Dallas, Texas

We are a fast paced, tech-driven, four doctor practice located just outside of Highland Park, TX seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen. They will be a clear communicator, team player and have a passion for serving patients as well as the person on the other end of the leash.

Our state of the art facility includes a full in house laboratory, digital radiology, digital dental radiology, in house ultrasound and K-laser therapy.

Our affluent client base makes it possible for the medical team to focus on practicing excellent medicine without chopping estimates and negotiating treatments.

In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include:

• Client communication

• Maintaining medical records

• Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients

• Filling prescriptions

• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging

• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets

Experience with AVImark is a plus, but not required. State registration and licensure is a plus, but not required.

Pay range is $14.00-$22.00 p hour and commensurate with experience and licensure.
