EXPERIENCED MECHANICAL ENGINEER Hill-Engineers, Architects,
Planners, Inc. has an opening for a full-time experienced mechanical
engineer (PE) to work at their Dalton, MA office. Hill is a 73 year old
firm with an average of 40 employees that performs design work
throughout New England and New York. We are a full service A/E firm
under one roof. We service industrial, health care, educational,
commercial and government clientele on new and existing facilities. We
are small enough and have many long-term employees to maintain a family
atmosphere. Areas of Expertise This is primarily an HVAC engineering
position. The firm does have a lot of industrial clients that need
heating systems and ventilation systems. Another aspect of the business
is machine design, heat transfer and material handling. It would be
advantageous, though not required, if a candidate had experience in
industries such as papermaking, chemicals, cannabis, or quarries.
Primary Responsibilities: - Work collaboratively with other in-house
engineers - Mentor young mechanical engineers (EITs) - Work with in
house and outside architects and engineers - Conduct fieldwork,
establish existing conditions, perform calculations and produce
designs - Work on projects that are solely mechanical in nature as well
as multidiscipline projects - Mechanical evaluations of existing
buildings - Stamp drawings for your work and that of others that you
direct - Work with draftspersons and designers to get designs on paper -
Construction administration activities such as site visits, submittal
review, RFIs, etc. Qualifications: - Licensed professional
engineer - 5 years plus of applicable experience - Ability to lead -
Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit a plus - Good verbal and written
communication skills - Ability to multi-task in a sometimes-fast paced
environment - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and
Word - United States citizen or permanent green card holder Essential
