Medical (Ophthalmic) Technicians
Main Duties:
-Interview patient; perform initial work-up on patients as well as diagnostic tests under the direction of the physician.
-Act as a scribe while physician examines patient, entering data into electronic medical records.
-Oversees patient flow.
-Assisting physicians with in-office procedures, ensuring proper informed consent is obtained.
-Sets up and cleans up from procedures.
-Assists with patient education.
-Complies with all practice procedures and protocols. Complies with State and Federal Regulations.
-Maintains positive attitude consisting of cooperation, self-motivation, courtesy and professionalism.
Qualifications:
-High School Diploma/GED required
-Certification through JCAHPO helpful
-Advanced computer skills
-Medical terminology knowledge preferred
