Job Summary:

The Senior Business Insight Analyst, reporting directly to the Res HVAC Finance Analytics Manager, will play a key role in enhancing the business unit's finance analytics capabilities by spearheading the development of our business insight reporting. This position will primarily focus on providing powerful visual analytics with a strong emphasis on data visualization and limited data science or modeling skills. The Senior Business Insight Analyst will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate visual analytics, advanced analytics, and standard KPI reporting to SBU leadership, thereby supporting effective decision-making. Furthermore, this role will collaborate with various finance teams to execute analytics initiatives and contribute towards the business unit's goal of self-service analytics.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in data visualization and other analytics tools, driving improvements in analytics practices and influencing cross-functional business partners to achieve impactful results.

This is a hybrid role that can be based in any Trane Technologies location.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Finance, Analytics, and other teams to collaborate on diverse data and analytics initiatives.

  • Streamline the SBU's processes, reducing complexity and redundancies.

  • Create executive dashboards with Key Performance Indicators to provide valuable insights to the SBU.

  • Utilize analytics tools to enhance financial processes, consistently improving quality and efficiency.

  • Monitor and uphold internal controls to protect company data, conducting regular reviews of access and controls.

  • Train and empower cross-functional teams on best practices in Business Intelligence, including requirements gathering, visualization development, and data connectivity.

  • Work with cross-functional partners to prioritize and oversee multiple Business Intelligence projects.

  • Serve as an expert on BI tools and their deployment, maintaining and developing skills in response to industry trends.

  • Enhance and maintain an industry market model, enabling the delivery of timely forecasts to business leadership.

  • Offer ad hoc analytics support and reporting as required.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this corporate finance analytics role should have at least 5 years of diversified analytics experience, including successful project management. They should possess a strong drive to transform finance processes and achieve finance excellence. The candidate should have a proven track record in visual analytics projects and process improvement roles. Strong collaboration and influencing skills are vital for success in this role. Knowledge and experience in statistical or data science is an additional advantage.

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as finance, analytics, math, statistics, economics, or IT

Base Compensation Range is $92,200-121,800. Disclaimer: This base salary range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
