The Advance Driver Assistance Technology (ADAS) team develops state-of-the-art software and algorithms to deliver best-in-class features like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and 360 camera systems. ADAS also developed Ford's industry-first Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, securing over 60 patents in the process. The team is responsible for the full end-to-end delivery of these features into production on all Ford vehicle lines.
What you'll do…
Act as technical expert for ISO 21434 and lead the delivery of cybersecurity software within the ADAS organization.
Lead the implementation of Ford Cybersecurity requirements/guidelines within ADAS software.
Guide and direct both Tier 1 suppliers and Ford software engineers to ensure cybersecurity requirements are met.
Ensure all software designs are well documented and traceable to feature/system requirements.
Review and approve high level and detailed designs pertaining to Cybersecurity.
Mentor software engineers in cybersecurity methods and principles
Ensure appropriate Security documentation (e.g. security case) is created, reviewed, and signed off by all parties for each ADAS release train.
Work collaboratively with ADAS feature and systems security teams to ensure cybersecurity deliverables are met. Support development of TARA, Security Concept, and other specific documents.
Lead efforts, along with ADAS Systems, Features, and Software teams, to identify root cause and resolve any issues that arise pertaining to cybersecurity.
Innovate to develop new ideas to deliver secure software for ADAS features and functions.
Mentor ADAS Software Architects and Software Engineers through the various architecture and design tasks.
You will have…
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
5+ years of experience with Software architecture, embedded software application development and/or embedded algorithm development experience on RTOS and POSIX.
3+ years of experience with Software development using C/C++ for security critical application.
3+ years of experience in ISO21434 security critical product design.
Strong understanding of Ford Cybersecurity requirements and processes.
Strong understanding of crypto algorithms, implementation, and application for automotive domain.
Strong understanding of ARM v7 and v8 architecture on security application.
Strong understanding of the usage of HSM/SHE for automotive application.
Strong understanding of security backend and infrastructure for key management for ECU production
Strong understanding of classic and adaptive autosar framework.
Strong understanding of ROS framework.
Experience working in an Agile software development process.
Experienced user of software lifecycle management tools such as Polarian, Doors, Jama.
Experienced user of system design tools such as UML/SysML.
Experience with structured problem-solving techniques (5D/8D, fishbone, etc.) to resolve challenging software issues.

5+ years of experience with Software development using C/C++ for security critical application.
5+ years of experience in ISO21434 security critical product design.Team oriented, with demonstrated ability to work well in cross functional groups to deliver a highly technical product.
Demonstrated mentorship of other engineers.
