Job Title: Multicraft Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Multicraft Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team at a food-grade, non-food manufacturing plant. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and troubleshooting a wide variety of machinery and equipment, including heating elements, rollers, cutters, automation systems, cranes, motors, computers, and more. You will need to diagnose problems from start to finish and ensure the smooth operation of critical equipment.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of machinery, including heating elements, rollers, cutters, automation systems, cranes, motors, and computers.
Work with 'cold' machines for most troubleshooting and repair work.
Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and increase equipment longevity.
Ensure all work follows proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to maintain safety.
Perform welding tasks as needed (welding experience is a plus).
Respond to machine malfunctions and breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize production disruptions.
Perform physical labor, including accessing machines in tight spaces and climbing stairs when necessary.
Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments to ensure equipment is running efficiently.
Adhere to all safety protocols and plant regulations.
Essential Skills
Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment, including heating elements, motors, cranes, and automation systems.
Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures is a must.
Ability to diagnose issues and resolve them independently from start to finish.
Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment, including working in tight spaces, climbing stairs, and lifting equipment.
Ability to work in hot environments (up to 125°F), though most troubleshooting will be done in cooler areas.
Must be able to work 12-hour shifts on a 223 schedule, rotating between days and nights every 2 weeks.

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $64480.00/yr.
