Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Systems Engineering Senior Specialist to sustain the Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS) system for our location on the island of Guam to support the US Department of Defense.
Develops complex technical solutions to allow US Forces to access IBS
Maintains equipment, ensures proper system operation, updates software, performs critical equipment alignments and troubleshoots complex software, system and equipment utilized with IBS
Integrates system upgrades to existing operational processors
Coordinates technical requirements with system users throughout multiple locations and resolves technical deficiencies
Provides technical support to the complex system architectures and monitors system utilization
Responsible for software operating verification prior to network implementation
Ability to obtain a CompTIA Security + certification or higher within the first 6 months
Willingness and ability to relocate to an overseas location
Able to work non-standard and extended hours depending upon customer mission requirements
Thorough knowledge/understanding of computers, networks, and cryptographic equipment operations and sustainment
Qualifications:
Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
4 years experience with IBS network operations and sustainment
Preferred Additional Skills:
Operational experience with Common Integrated Broadcast Uplink Site system
Current CompTIA Security+ and/or equivalent certification
