Work four days a week and have Fridays off! Join our Housing & Energy Program as an Installer, where you'll help low-income households improve their homes' energy efficiency. Your work will reduce heating costs, enhance comfort, and promote sustainability in the community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install insulation in attics, walls, and floors to prevent heat loss.
- Repair or replace doors, windows, and ventilation systems to improve efficiency.
- Conduct blower door tests and air leakage assessments.
- Install and extend exhaust fans and ventilation systems.
- Follow OSHA safety regulations and maintain knowledge of program standards.
- Successfully complete all state-mandated training and certifications within required timeframes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Experience in home construction, remodeling, or weatherization (preferred).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Must be 19+ years old with a valid Ohio driver's license and a good driving record (required for agency insurance coverage).
Physical Requirements:
- Comfortable working on roofs and ladders at varying heights.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Capable of performing manual labor for extended periods.
