PURPOSE: Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Inspector B is responsible for the inspection and testing of processes and products to ensure quality. Working with a variety of inspection equipment, methods, processes, and products; QA Inspectors will ensure all proper procedures are being followed and documented to maintain ISO and customer standards resulting in total compliance with company quality policy. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform incoming and routine inspections per approved drawings, control plans and specifications that include dimensional, visual and functional verification Monitoring and inspecting of product and processes that ensure production of parts to company quality policy standards Finished goods inspection Receiving and Outside Process inspection Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results Ensuring outgoing products comply with required specifications RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management deems necessary. Employees are and will be held accountable for all duties of the job. Maintain the quality record matrix and quality forms Assist in the development of new work instructions and forms Perform analysis on select processes and report findings Recommend updated or new processes Responsible for the detection of defective material and initiation of defective material reports Assist in the quarantine of defective materials Administer approved changes to the quality system Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and gaging equipment including comparator, micrometer, caliper, MicroVu, Oasis operation, hard gages, height gages GO/NO GO gages, thread gages, profilometer and roundness checkers Accuracy verification of gages and measuring equipment Mechanically and mathematically adept Assist in QA and ISO audits All other duties as assigned ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
