Job Summary

of Interior (DOI) Orphan Wells Program Office (OWPO) to provide
technical writing support.
Job Classification
This position is classified as exempt.
Duties and Responsibilities
Draft congressional reports and notifications, along with other functional
responsibilities as detailed below.
Assists in collecting and organizing information for preparation of user
manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.
Edits functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals,
special reports, and any other customer deliverables and documents.
Assists in performing financial and administrative functions.
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (i.e. 6 years of
relevant experience). In addition, technical writer must have 2 years of
related experience (i.e. experience with drafting congressional reports and
notifications).
Must demonstrate the ability to work independently or under other general
direction.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Good problem solving skills and able to work well independently
Proficiency in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access)
May be required to undergo a standard background check along with verification
of education requirements
