We are seeking an experienced Data Analytics Practice Director to enhance our
client data advisory services, focusing on serving mid-market clients in
multiple industries through the utilization of advanced data analytics tools
and techniques. This role combines client sales/business development,
delivery leadership, and strategic practice (and client services)
planning as we expand our data analytics practice.
The role oversees multiple project teams, works across our advisory practice
and in conjunction with our national Data Center of Excellence, and reports
into the Risk & Advisory Practice Senior Managing Director.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties
Client Consulting and Advisory: Offer expert advisory services to clients in
the mid-market segment, leveraging data analytics tools to support audit,
tax, and advisory services. The role requires expertise in understanding
complex data matters inside business problems of our clients, and solving
for client needs which leverage those data insights.
Business Development: Drive sales and business development efforts to
attract new clients and projects, building and maintaining strong
relationships with key stakeholders. The successful candidate should have 5+
years prior experience developing client relationships and business
development in data analytics, with increasing degrees of responsibility and
successful close ratios.
Delivery Leadership: Define project scope, strategy, and approach,
ensuring successful delivery of services. Manage project timelines,
budgets, and resource allocation efficiently. Effective delivery leadership
including finding optimal client insights within the data initiatives, and
providing clients the means to leverage
Practice Strategy: Act as a strategist for the practice's growth,
identifying new opportunities, and enhancing our service offerings through
innovative use of technology, methodologies, and resource utilization
which increases productivity and effectiveness in our service offerings.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team of consultants across
multiple industries. Foster a culture of continuous learning and
development, inspiring team members to work in transformative ways to solve
problems and growing the team through effective recruitment and mentoring
effor
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Alteryx for data processing and analysis.Minimal Alteryx core
certifications required and demonstrated project delivery with current
product toolsets.
Expertise in visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau.
Familiarity with other data analytics technologies and software including R
and Python
Knowledge of project management and product development tools including
Smartsheets and Jira
12+ years of experience in a consulting or advisory role, with a
significant focus on data analytics.
Proven track record in business development and client relationship
management.
Demonst ated ability in leading and managing teams across diverse industries.
Strong analytical skills and expertise in data analytics tools and
technologies.
Prior experience with client account management including invoicing and
expertise in managing a profitable data consulting practice
Excellent communication, presentation leadership, and strategic thinking
abilities.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science,
or a related field
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Graduate or specialty degree preferred
8 years of experience in related field
6 years of supervisory experience
Must have and preserve required licenses
Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize
each assignment as necessary
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all
levels of organization, both internally and externally
Proficient use of applicable technology
Must be able to travel based on client and business need
The annual salary target for this job in this market is
$200,000-$225,000. The specific compensation for this role will be
determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the
