Elite Surface Infrastructure Overview
Elite Surface Infrastructure (ESI) is a growing company located in
Englewood Colorado and has been working along the Colorado front range since
1998. ESI is one of the largest construction companies in Colorado that
self-performs a variety of services including Underground Utilities,
Milling, Asphalt, Paving, Grading, Concrete, and Earthwork for
Infrastructure and Infrastructure Improvement Projects in the commercial,
municipal, and federal sectors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Tack Truck Driver is an hourly-rated skilled craft position that performs
on construction projects any combination of the duties described below.
The Tack Truck Driver's primary function is to safely and efficiently
operate asphalt distributor.
A valid Class 'B' CDL
Tanker endorsement is required.
Operate tack truck safely.
Load tack truck oil.
Constant monitoring of temperature of oil and mix.
Work with asphalt crew to perform additional duties when tack truck is not in
use to include laboring.
Maintain a sense of urgency throughout the day to deliver products safely and
efficiently. The driver is always ready at scheduled time and alerts fellow
drivers of accidents on route to jobs.
Properly maintain equipment by conducting the proper pre-trip and post-trip
inspections and mechanical write-ups.
Properly operate the truck and other types of equipment according to the
manufacturers recommended guidelines.
Maintain truck in a consistently clean condition. The cab is always clean and
well-ordered, and the exterior appearance of the truck is maintained each day.
Operate trucks in a manner that ensures compliance with all applicable
company, state, and federal safety regulations.
Follow required ESI and DOT reporting procedures.
All paperwork should be kept current during the day, including timecards
with job information and DVIR books. Drivers are responsible to make sure the
truck has current licenses, tags, permits, and proof of insurance.
Reports for work at the scheduled time and place.
Must have a Current DOT Medical Card.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of industry-related
experience is required for this position, with an emphasis on roads,
highways, and bridges.
Other Requirements: Clean Driving record and the ability to pass a
background investigation, and drug screening. Able to access State &
Federal Facilities.
Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with
job site supervisors and fellow employees.
