The Environmental Health and Safety Specialist will be responsible for
supporting, coordinating, implementing and/or conducting
environmental, safety, and health activities. Assisting to ensure
employees are trained in environmental, safety, and health policies and
procedures. Facilitates a proactive safety program that actively involves
employees through safety teams and committees. Ensures service centers are
compliant with all local, state, and federal environmental and safety laws
and regulations. This position is accountable for supporting and assisting
with the administration and maintaining all environmental and safety programs.
Provides support and direction for aspects of environmental affairs.
Responsible for implementation of corporate safety initiatives to minimize the
number and reduce the severity of accidents and injuries while maintaining the
efficiency of the jobsite and the wellbeing of employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for driving the personal and/or team implementation of
"SAFETY AS A VALUE"
- Assist with the records and logs as required by OSHA
- Involvement with Fleet Safety Program, including vehicle incident
management, trend analysis, and identifying initiatives to improve driver
safet
- Work with the Workers' Compensation program
- Promoting our safety culture and leading programs to improve the Company's
overall safety culture
- Accountable for maintaining and reporting of EHS metrics for the Electrical
Reliability Services Business
- Manages records of SDS sheets, work hazards, safety training, safety
site audits and maintenance of EHS records
- Provide customer site support for safety issues and or problems
- Facilitation and involvement in Safety Committees
- Measures and monitors environmental impacts in conformance with Electrical
Reliability Services & Vertiv environmental policy and government regulations
- Review and assist with development of necessary plans, procedures and
strategies implementation and ensures their consistency and adequacy
- Interface with all levels of the organization
- Conduct accident investigation and analysis to determine improvements needed
- Have strong working knowledge of Electrical Safety and NFPA 70E
Conducts safety audits and hazard assessments when appropriate in
conjunction with applicable safety programs and/or regulations
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Occupational Health and
Safety, Safety Science or Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years' experience in Construction and or Electrical work (low and
medium voltage)
- Strong organizational and research skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Have excellent computer skills, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
- Strong customer service skills
- Broad knowledge of environmental, health, safety, NFPA 70E and DOT
regulatory compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of
management and staff
Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to
work with necessary levels of management in integrating safe and healthy
behaviors in day-day operations

SALARY
The anticipated salary range for this role in the Colorado locality is between
$80,000 to $100,000 per year. Certain roles are eligible for
additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock.
These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based.
In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales
incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the
plan and the employee's role. The role is eligible to participate in a
comprehensive and competitive benefits program, including medical,
dental, vision, disability, PTO, holiday pay, and 401k. Additional
details about total compensation and benefits will be provided during the
hiring process. The estimated deadline to submit an application for this role
