Filter Swap HVAC Maintenance Technician & Sales Representative

Summary:
The HVAC Maintenance Technician & Sales Representative is responsible for
not only the inspection, maintenance, and repair of heating,
ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems but also for
generating sales leads, promoting maintenance contracts, and upselling
products or services to customers. This role requires a combination of
technical expertise in HVAC systems and strong sales skills to effectively
communicate with clients and drive revenue growth. While prior sales
experience is beneficial, it is not a requirement as sales techniques can be
taught to motivated individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, including cleaning
filters, inspecting electrical components, cleaning evaporator and
condenser coils, inspecting and replacing mechanical belts.
Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions to identify the root cause
of problems.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including
parts used, labor hours, and service dates.
Provide recommendations to customers regarding upgrades, replacements, or
modifications to improve the performance and efficiency of HVAC systems.
Actively prospect for new business opportunities and generate sales leads
through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
Present maintenance contracts, service agreements, and product offerings
to clients to maximize revenue opportunities.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales strategies, pricing
models, and promotional campaigns.
Prepare and deliver sales proposals, estimates, and contracts to
prospective clients.
Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with services provided and
address any concerns or issues.
Stay updated on industry developments, new technologies, and best
practices related to HVAC systems and sales techniques.
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an HVAC apprenticeship
program is preferred but not required.
Prior experience as an HVAC technician in maintenance and repair of HVAC
systems is preferred but not required.
Strong understanding of HVAC principles, components, and systems,
including heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration is preferred
but not required.
Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC system malfunctions is
preferred but not required.
Knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, and mechanical
processes related to HVAC equipment is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with HVAC tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments is
preferred but not required.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build
rapport and establish long-term relationships with customers.
Willingness to learn and adapt to sales techniques and strategies.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced
environment.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Working Conditions:
The HVAC Maintenance Technician & Sales Representative may work indoors or
outdoors, depending on the location of HVAC systems being serviced. This
role may involve exposure to extreme temperatures, cramped spaces, and
heights when working on rooftops or in mechanical rooms. Personal protective
equipment (PPE) and safety training are provided to ensure compliance with
occupational health and safety regulations.
