As a Lead Field Engineer, you will execute service work with low to medium complexity according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. You will be in close cooperation with customers and other ABB teams, acting as the technical point while delivering quality and satisfying customer service. In this role, you will be responsible for executing service work as part of the ABB Hoisting Service Team specializing in mine hoist systems. You will lead our local service team and be involved in the complete hoisting system including mechanics, hydraulics, electrical powertrain and controls. You will act as the technical point of contact person between customers and extended ABB teams. This is a position with global grade 14Your responsibilities

Be the key point of contact for all technical aspects after the system start up as well as leading the maintenance program for the hoist systems Provide on site or remote technical support for installation and commissioning of equipment and routine maintenance independently, identifying technical problems and make analysis through remote or on site activity in different Service categories Conduct hoisting system inspections and audits to ensure proper operation and safety level of the system Consult with and advise customers on the best service solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines Identify potential equipment failures and take corrective actions, troubleshooting complex equipment failures, and making recommendations to avoid the problem in the future Report work done in a timely manner and follow up when needed Make suggestions for product, quality, and customer service improvements, and discussing them with management Require hands on support at customer sitesYour background

Bachelor's degree in engineering required, preferably electrical or mechanical and minimum 5 years of related experience with industrial systems Mine hoist systems knowledge and experience are a definite asset Strong customer focus and the ability to relate well to customer needs Strong interpersonal, leadership and organizational skills Must be able to work in a multi disciplined service environment often under pressure filled conditions Excellent communication skills including the ability to write reports and speak effectively before customers or employees Valid passport and driver's license Travel will be required, including internationally Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USBenefits Retirement plan Life insurance Disability insurance Wellbeing program Healthcare planMore about us Process Industries division delivers complete electrification and automation solutions, industry-specific products and lifecycle services across industries.
