Job Description:Works with the Early Learning Center Director to develop a
high-quality and exemplary educational program responsible to child,
parent, and staff needs. Is responsible for providing leadership to the
teaching staff and helping to manage the daily programs within the Early
Learning Center.

As a Lead Preschool Teacher,:
Works with Early Learning Center Director to ensure that Early Learning Center
adheres to the Colorado Department of Education, Colorado Shines, and
State Licensing requirements and guidelines.
Is sensitive to the cultural differences among the children, families and
staff and responds appropriately and sensitively to those differences.
Well versed in early childhood education curriculum content, plans, and
instructs children in all areas of the educational program-cognitive,
communication socio-emotional development, fine and gross motor skills,
affective, and behavioral.
Assesses children's needs accurately and regularly; writes developmental
evaluations each quarter.
Works with Operation Director, Education Manger, Early Learning Center
Director, and other school staff to incorporate principles of child
development and education into age-appropriate classrooms to meet physical,
cognitive, and social-emotional needs of children and their families.
Communicates effectively across programs.
Performs as a professional and positive leader throughout the agency.
Supervise and assist children in daily hygiene routines, meals,
toileting, etc.
Plan developmentally appropriate activities and facilitate play throughout the
day.
Know curriculum content, plan and instruct children in all areas of the
educational program cognitive, communication, fine and gross motor
skills, affective, and behavioral.
Support and integrate arts and physical education objectives into the
classroom.
Assist with orientation of new staff, new children, and volunteers.
Transport children as needed or requested.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college in Early Childhood
Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Family and Child
Development or Child Psychology, preferred
If degree is not in a related field, completed or working towards completing
at least two (2) three-semester hour Early Childhood Education (ECE)
courses with one being ECE 101: Introduction to ECE, required- Minimum of
one (1) year of experience working with children, required-
Current Driver's License and must obtain Colorado Driver's License within
30 days of moving to Colorado, required- Motor vehicle record and proof of
automobile insurance coverage to be updated annually, required.
