Our legal administrative assistants are responsible for a wide array of tasks
related to the effective support of our legal professionals and clients.
This includes but is not limited to:
Managing billing process to include time-entry, data review and
correction, final submission to meet all Firm-required deadlines,
maintenance of billing records, and research of disputes and discrepancies
Prioritizing assignments and preparing sensitive and detailed
correspondence, such as responses to requests for information or regularly
recurring reports, from rough draft or dictation
Scheduling appointments, making travel and/or meeting arrangements, and
maintaining business calendars as instructed; keeping timekeepers on
schedule to meet Firm-wide and practice group specific deadlines
Managing production of various practice group specific projects, such as
document production and retention, online research, compliance with
security protocols for sensitive client information, etc.
Interacting professionally with members of other support departments and
various external contacts, and assisting where needed
Effectively establishing and maintaining well-organized files, while
managing the integrity of original client documents in various formats, such
as hardcopy, electronic, and various eRooms
Coordinating with billing attorneys on all monthly pre-bills and necessary
revisions
Requirements for this role include:
A minimum of two years prior relevant work experience within a Law Firm or
Professional Services environment, required
Intermediate to advanced level skills using MS Office Suite, in addition to
strong computer aptitude in order to use various features of multiple software
programs
Proficiency in the use of document management systems
Ability to proof and edit non-routine correspondence, reports and tables for
typographical errors, and sentence structure
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to convey and obtain
information to various levels of internal and external clients; excellent
organizational skills; a meticulous level of attention to detail
Pay Range for candidates in Colorado:
$59,000- $90,000 per year
The range provided is the minimum and maximum salary that Venable in good
faith believes at the time of this posting that it is willing to pay for the
advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined based on
individual candidate qualifications and location.
