The Newman Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Denver is
currently seeking part-time Managers on Duty to assist with the execution of
events at the Newman Center.
Position Summary
The Manager on Duty will be responsible for assisting with event management at
the Newman Center.
These are non-benefited, part-time positions not to exceed 1,000 hours in
a calendar year.
Essential Functions
Support the Newman Center with event management functions.
Serve as client liaison on day of event.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Contribute to a welcoming environment and excellent customer service for all
Newman Center clients, participants and patrons.
General oversight of parking and concessions contracted staff and activities.
Ability to balance a cash bank after parking and concessions sales have
occurred.
Maintain a clean and safe environment.
Able to work both individually and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
Prior experience in customer service or retail.
Ability to work on his/her/their feet for extended periods, navigate
stairs and lift up to 25 lbs.
Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in event management in a performing arts venue preferred.
Crowd management experience.
Work Schedule
Part-time, hours will vary. Must be available to work primarily nights and
weekends.

Hourly Range
The hourly range for this position is $18.00-$20.00.
