Position Summary
The University of Denver is seeking highly qualified and motivated Certified
Personal trainers Certified Group Fitness Instructors. Accepted personal
training certifications include NASM, NSCA, ACSM, ACE. Group Fitness
Instructors must have their primary group fitness certification (NASM,
ACE, AFAA) and/or certified in a specialized format (Barre, Yoga,
Indoor Cycling, Zumba).
This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.
Essential Functions
Personal Trainers
Demonstrate knowledge and experience through multiple different facets of
training
Personal training opportunities include 1:1 training, small group
sessions, club sports training, youth training, create programming,
InBody assessments and more
Personal Trainers report to the Fitness Manager
Monthly fitness meetings are required
Group Fitness Instructor
Responsible for teaching safe fitness classes, accommodating all levels of
fitness, and providing a fun environment.
Instructors report to the Fitness Manager.
Monthly fitness meetings are required.
Required Qualifications
Personal Trainers
Current Personal Training certification (i.e. ACE, NASM, NSCA)
Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification
Group Fitness Instructor
Current Group Fitness Instructor (GFI) certification (ACE, NASM,
AFAA) and/or a certification in a specialty area (i.e. Cycling,
Barre, Yoga, Zu
Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification

Hourly Range
The hourly range for these positions is $25.00-$45.00.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its

be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected
candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity
