requirements.
The client is seeking a Program Manager to support our Gas Engineering team
with closing out old project. This will require researching everything in SAP
to identify what may be missing in the requirements to close out and
capitalize a project. Any items not found in SAP may need to be as-built in
the field to ensure all assets are being booked correctly.
Research items may include:
Proof of labor charges - sometimes these are in invoices that Xcel does
not have, or needs more detail from the vendors
Proof of materials being purchased and tying to list of assets being
installed. Ensure this meets current capitalization policy
Journal Entries/Reclasses. Projects could have been charged
incorrectly, not charged at all, were set up incorrectly, or do not meet
capitalization policy
As-builts need to be reviewed and then finalized to match assets listed on
the enhancement tab
Cost variances
Pulling reporting from Business Objects, PowerPlan, Workbook, IBM
Content Manager, Master Data Online (MDO), and SAP to support closeout efforts
Program Manager Responsibilities:
This position maps to our Engineering classification and agencies and is
intended for program oversight roles requiring technical experience such as
engineering or construction
Responsible for the coordination, implementation, and execution of
programs that may apply to multiple projects, disciplines or areas
Manages programs and orchestrates the results to achieve a broad program
goal
Plan, facilitate and monitors existing programs and may be responsible
for development and implementation of new programs from inception through
delivery ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met
Defines and reports program status, issues, adherence to program
requirements and tracks success metrics
Identifies and monitors areas of risk
Continuously seeks opportunities to improve cost, performance and schedule
Facilitates communication and coordination among projects and departments
Manages internal and external stakeholder engagement, performance and
satisfaction
Maintains awareness of trends, business conditions, process and
practices impacting component projects or programs
Adheres to standard project management and contract management
methodologies and reporting techniques
Proficiency in MS Office
