AUS delivers expert consulting services focused on optimizing systems for greater efficiency and reliability within utility operations.

Join our AUS team as a Proposal Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in advancing business opportunities through expertly crafted proposals. In this professional-level position, you will coordinate the production and delivery of proposals, qualification packages, and marketing materials to respond to client requests. You will lead proposal efforts, producing high-quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment to help us meet our clients' needs.

We are looking for a meticulous individual with a talent for strategic writing and a solid understanding of the technical nuances in utility consulting and engineering services. The ideal candidate should have outstanding communication skills, a keen eye for detail, knowledge of sales and positioning, excellent project management abilities, and a positive, can-do attitude. This is not a sales position.

*To apply, please include a cover letter with your resume and feel free to share writing samples that showcase your previous work.

This role can be remote or hybrid based on a mutually agreed-upon location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the development of proposals, statements of qualifications, presentations, and other related materials.

  • Confirm all information is accurate and in compliance with all RFI/RFP response requirements per brand guidelines.

  • Provide timely entry of accurate and complete client and opportunity information in Dynamics CE CRM.

  • Take on special project assignments as directed by the Area Lead.

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience responding to requests for proposals (RFPs), writing proposal content, or technical writing.

  • High degree of self-motivation, initiative, and follow-through.

  • Demonstrated ability coordinating cross-functional teams to a successful outcome.

  • Effective time management in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize tasks based on shifting needs.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills using a variety of media.

  • Proficient in standard MS Office and Adobe software.

  • Able to work regular business hours, 8 am – 5 pm, with occasional overtime, alone or in a team.

Desired Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, with preference for majors in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or similar.

  • Software, Technology, Engineering consulting/technical or utility industry experience.

  • Knowledge of SharePoint, MS Teams, Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics.

  • Experience with search techniques in a database environment.

  • APMP Foundation Level Certification.
