Typical Day in the Life
A typical day as an R&D Tax Manager might include the following:
Manages and implements multiple projects simultaneously, including client
consultations, analysis, data gathering and coordination of Eide Bailly
tax personnel and client resources.
Attends various industry association meetings and conferences as a marketer
and presenter on R&D tax matters to build a market presence.
Participates in internal educational sessions to staff to increase awareness
of R&D tax credit incentives and issues and expand awareness of the service
offering.
Writes internal and external communications on R&D tax related topics.
Conducts research related to R&D tax credit incentives and issues to
maintain and expand knowledge base.
Serves as resource for questions related to R&D tax credits for Eide Bailly
firmwide.
Manages client relationships by monitoring client needs and building value
into professional service.
Evaluates the costs, benefits and risks of alternative solutions to client
problems or needs.
Provides feedback in order to develop the R&D Tax Incentives practice.
Capitalizes on personal and professional experiences in order to develop
business and practice lines.
Supervises and delegates duties to Associate and Senior Associate level staff.
Provides mentoring and technical training for employees in the R&D Tax
Incentives department.
May assist with client billings to ensure they reflect work performed.
Participates in the area of business development.
Participates in community organizations and industry functions.
Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.
Who You Are
You have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; J.D. or LL.M. in
Taxation preferred.
You have 5+ years of experience with R&D tax credit work and related
incentives required.
you have a valid Certified Public Accountant license preferred.
You have advanced knowledge of tax accounting principles, IRS regulations,
and R&D tax credit incentives and issues.
You are skilled in networking and developing business.
You have exc llent oral and written communication skills with the ability to
evaluate and articulate complex information.
you can work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities
with work projects.
You can establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
and clients.
You are proficient with computers, Microsoft Office and related programs.
Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without
visa sponsorship.
Benefits and Compensation
Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide
Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary
ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as
geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $160,000
