Position Title: Senior Coordinator, Tax Help Colorado
Status: Exempt
Salary: $55,000.14
Location: Primarily based out of our Denver office at 711 Park Ave W,
Denver, CO 80205. 3 days/week in office, 2 days/week remote

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected
salary for this position is $55,000.14. In an effort to increase equity
and to avoid unfair bias historically associated with salary negotiations,
we do not participate in salary negotiations outside of this stated starting
salary range.
How You'll Help
For many Colorado families, the tax refund is the single biggest check they
will receive in a year. Tax Help Colorado helps low- and moderate-income
Coloradans to file accurate tax returns and receive every deduction and credit
they are owed-often to the tune of thousands of dollars that can be used to
reach their personal and family goals. The Senior Coordinator plays an
integral role in implementing the Tax Help Colorado program and effectively
operating free tax preparation sites across the state of Colorado. The
coordinator will oversee planning of Tax Help Colorado projects, including
site logistics, taxpayer outreach, and Internal Revenue Service compliance.
Essential Responsibilities
Assist Program Director in the implementation of the Tax Help Colorado program
and effectively operating VITA sites:
Manage organizational tools and resources used by Tax Help Colorado staff,
including reports used to help determine goals and projections for future
years
Serve as primary contact with the IRS to order materials and file necessary
paperwork.
Work with outside vendors to create and order THC promotional materials.
Provide excellent customer service support for sites during and outside of tax
season.
Facilitate the volunteer management system including the creation of all
events, ensuring volunteer profiles are accurate, and running necessary
reports.
Support grant reporting by maintaining accurate records of tax sites and
volunteer hours.
Facilitate the timely and accurate reporting of volunteer certification levels
and engagement to the IRS.
Coordinate and oversee planning of Tax Help Colorado projects
Coordinate logistics of internal and external meetings and trainings
Plan and execute external events tied to the mission of the program.
Schedule and organize meetings and maintain agenda.
Facilitate internal debriefs to record project performance and suggested
improvements.
Assists with various drop off, DIY and traditional tax, and virtual sites.
Act as site coordinator at various tax sites.
Serve as site consultant for new tax sites, instructors, and site
coordinators.
Serve as direct program liaison to various community partners.
Create TaxSlayer accounts for all community volunteers and manage TaxSlayer
settings and set-up.
Support the virtual tax return platform including acting as site
coordinator, completing intake calls, transmitting returns, and
supporting clients throughout the virtual process.
Manage Tax Help Colorado's social media and web pages.
Facilitate THC team meetings to brainstorm new and innovative digital media
growth strategies.
Create written and visual content for Tax Help Colorado blog, website, and
social media channels.
Conduct interviews with taxpayers and volunteers for future marketing and
funding purposes.
Monitor, collect and report on marketing campaig s and social media
performance.
Additional Responsibilities
Build and maintain relationships with Tax Help Colorado partners, including
educational institutions and community organizations, to support their VITA
site needs.
Present tax-related content in the community. Develop shared vision and
continued growth for Tax Help Colorado at Mile High United Way.
Ensure high-touch communication with Tax Help Colorado and Mile High United
Way partners, volunteers and students, and low-income families.
What You'll Need: Education, Experience, and Skills
High School Diploma/GED required; Some College or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Minimum 3 years direct experience working with community engagement,
outreach, relationship management and event planning.
Minimum 3 years of related experience in administrative and support staff
activities
