Job Description
The essential duties of a Senior Project Manager are to ensure client
expectations for complex project delivery are exceeded. Supporting a
decarbonization and energy transition program may include assessments, grant
applications, planning, coordination, budgeting, estimating,
scheduling and permitting, through to procurement for remediation,
rehabilitation and replacement of utility systems, to completion,
commissioning, monitoring, data collection and contract management. A

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Providing professional services as an Owner Representative to help ensure that
projects are constructed on schedule, on budget and in accordance with
project contract documents
Develop and execute energy strategies that leverage capital projects to reduce
long term energy costs, address decarbonization requirements, or provide
energy resilience
Lead and perform feasibility assessments and support business plan development
for decarbonization and energy transition projects
Identify funding opportunities and lead grant applications
Extensive experience managing and implementing energy transition projects
Deep understanding of utility use abatement projects and their impacts
Solid understanding of the Colorado greenhouse gas emission reporting
requirements
Develops project specific procedures and documentation, and consults with
stakeholders on design and construction contracts
Ensures contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications comply with
project construction requirements
Represents owner, project and related parties in public forums and meetings
Manages project controls, cost, and performance activities and
procedures, project logistics, organization, systems and project closeout
Leads in project meetings to include documentation, administration, and
tracking of relevant information and statuses
Coordinates, directs, and/or monitors activities of construction
management staff, contractors, engineers, architects, and others
Ensures project team adheres to safety protocols and requirements
Provide pre-construction, procurement and construction phase management and
administration services
Assists in the development and maintenance of a master project schedule
Performs other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management,
Architecture, or equivalent is required
Registration as an Architect, Professional Engineer, or Certified
Construction Manager is preferred
9+ years of experience as a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager
5+ years of experience in at least two of the following: industrial
decarbonization, energy efficiency, energy transition,
electrification, energy generation and/or sustainability initiatives
Experience in project development, design-phase management, construction
estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation,
engineering/construction principles, contracts and construction delivery
method
Thorough understanding of contracts, documents, drawings, and
specifications and applied experience in the areas of project accounting,
cost, administrative, and personnel interaction in professional settings
Strong comp ter skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products,
and experience with project-related systems such as Prolog and Primavera
Proficiency with various document control systems
Knowledge of utility infrastructure and power systems design and construction
processes is preferred
Experience with a variety of delivery methods in the Denver area and
experience with local contractors preferred
Experience building educational facilities or other campus style projects is
preferred
Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory
factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and
geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $120,000-$140,000.
