This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue
Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's
mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are
building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from
Earth to the lunar surface.

Join a world-class team dedicated to human space exploration and play a
pivotal role as a vehicle Safety and Reliability Systems Engineer. You'll
work with diverse engineers on the Blue Moon Lunar Lander system, analyzing
safety, defining requirements, identifying hazard controls, and
supporting integration and validation.
Work with NASA and National Team Partners in the Human Landing System
(HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program. Contribute to
developing the Blue Moon Lunar Lander, enabling human return to the Moon and
expanding human presence beyond Earth.
We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership
skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human
spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:
Perform and lead engineering activities including Fault Tree Analysis
(FTA), Functional Hazard Assessments (FHAs), Hazard Reports,
Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA), reliability
analysis, and developing mitigation plans.
Develop plans and coordinate completion of system and subsystem safety
analysis, providing review, guidance, and expertise of safety analysis
products.
Ensure traceability between system and subsystem functions, requirements,
and safety artifacts.
Support verification and validation of safety and reliability requirements.
Work together with Lunar Systems Engineers to establish standard methodologies
and explore possibilities for implementing common processes across
projects.Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or a related
field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
