QIMA US seeks Senior Agricultural Inspector to coordinate, plan and oversee inspections for imported fruits. Additional position duties include leading and working with inspectors and quality team to inspect food products and monitor processing, auditing inventories, supervising inspection and classification process, ensuring proper storage, identifying, interpreting and enforcing food safety, transportation and handling standards and regulatory requirements, monitoring grading by junior inspectors, supervising, scheduling and coordinating and training inspectors and sorters, preparing, reviewing and approving reports and budgets, communicating in Spanish and English with U.S. workforce and. South American exporters.Requires: B.S. in Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Science (or foreign equal.) plus four years’ progressive experience in QC of imported fruits. Experience must include inspection process, auditing food safety and sanitation, training and supervising inspectors and QC workers. Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of QC and int’l standards for imported fruit, food safety, product tracing, product recalls, USDA and APHIS standards and quarantine procedures and be bilingual Spanish/English.
