Workers will be required to seine fish ponds as needed, load and unload
fish from pond bank into\
specialized fish hauling trucks; unload trucks into fish shed, grade
fish into sizes, maintain fish shed by checking health of fish as needed
especially while loading customers trucks. Workers will need to\
ensure tractors and other equipment are fueled and greased properly.
Worker should be able to start\
and drive tractor for use in aeration as well as seining ponds. During
spawning season, primarily April, May and June, workers will assist in
preparing ponds for spawning, moving and washing hatchery mats and
helping in the fish hatchery. General property maintenance will be
expected such as bush hogging around levees and open fields, trimming
trees with a chain saw, weed-eating, and some building maintenance such
as painting and general repairs. Repairing seines and dipnets will be
done as needed. Mechanical assistance to maintain tractors and farm
vehicles as needed. Workers will be expected to keep equipment clean.
Workers should be able to work independently after the job has been
mastered. Tractor experience of 3 months is essential. A drivers license
is highly desirable. This is a physically demanding job and workers must
be able to lift 55 lb buckets of fish, pull seines thru mud and climb up
and down pond banks under various temperatures and\
weather conditions. Worker should be comfortable working in and around
water.\

walking, Frequent stooping or bending over, Repetitive movements, 3
months tractor driving experience required

Meals: Free and convenient kitchen facilities are provided. Workers will
be transported to a local\
grocery store at least weekly to purchase groceries in a 2017 GMC
Terraine that seats 5. Anyone driving the work vehicle will have a
physical on file and hold a current valid drivers\
license.
Transportation: Transportation to the worksite will be conducted in a
2017 GMC Terrain that seats 5 people.\
The vehicle used would be the same vehicle used to provide
transportation to the closest local grocery store. Daily transportation
schedules to be determined by crop conditions, and weather and are
discussed verbally with the workers at end of day the day before the
workday begins.\
Daily transportation at no cost to workers is not available to workers
who do not reside in employer-provided housing. The employer does not
provide any transportation to workers for personal errands.
Transportation to and from work is covered by workers compensation. The
vehicle utilized for transporting workers to the grocery store will be
covered by insurance as required by property damage insurance and over
the 100,000 per seat of liability. Any person driving the vehicle is
required to have a current physical on file and documentation of a
current drivers license.\
Transportation and border crossing expenses will be reimbursed on or
before the first payday to the extent necessary to insure employees are
compensated at least at the minimum wage level set by FLSA at 20 CFR
655. 123(h). The amount of transportation\
reimbursement will be calculated based on the worker\'s actual cost but
no more than the most economical and reasonable common carrier
transportation charges for the distance involved. Employees are given
the opportunity to choose their means of transportation and in some
instances the employer may pay the transportation directly. Upon
competition of the work contract or if the employee is terminated
without cause, and the worker has no immediate subsequent H2A
employment, the employer will provide of pay for the worker\'s
transportation and daily subsistence from the place of employment to the
place from which the worker, disregarding intervening employment
departed to work for the employer. If the worker has contracted with a
subsequent employer who has agreed in such work contract to provide or
pay for the worker\'s transportation and daily subsistence expenses from
the employer\'s worksite to such subsequent employer\'s worksite, the
subsequent employer must provide or pay for such expenses. The employer
agrees that it is not relieved of its obligation to provide or pay for
return transportation and subsistence if an H2A worker is displaced as a
result of the employer\'s compliance with the 50 percent rule as
described in 655.135(d) of this sub-part with respect to the referrals
made after the employer\'s date of need.
