Description
We are seeking an experienced Master Data Management (MDM) Program Director to lead our MDM initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of data management strategies to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of the company’s master data globally.
The Master Data Management Program Director will establish and implement a wholistic approach to managing Copeland’s master data, which includes Product, Supplier, and Customer data domains. You will work across multiple collaborators, including business partners, and our development teams, to implement a program that are focused on building enterprise data that is trustworthy and available for analysis to provide competitive insights.
You will lead a team responsible for Master Data Management. This distributed team will implement a defined process focused on data standards, data quality and enforcing the controls of the company’s most important data. In addition, the Master Data Program Manager will lead collaborative discussions with leadership on the Data Governance Council.
The Master Data Management Program Director shall ensure the pragmatic use of processes, tools, and resources to support the global business.
This role could be a US based remote role for the right candidate.
As a Master Data Management Program Director, You Will:
Own and implement the Master Data Management program
Manage the MDM platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the business
Manage the global MDM team
Monitor data management trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement
Provide leadership and guidance to the MDM team, setting clear goals and expectations
Architect Master Data solutions consisting of people, process and technology
Integrates Data Governance into MDM service
Lead core technical teams to control and enhance master data quality and standards
Establish and meet SLA for MDM requests
Establish a change request process for all master data
Establish data quality metrics for master data
Ensure security compliance of master data
Work with IT technical teams to architect and implement controls over MDM data
Implement synchronization strategy between hub and spoke data sources
Partner with data stewards to implement the standards, policies and guidelines
Recommend project priorities and provides clear visibility
Identify data issues and coordinate with the teams in solving
Provide expert consultation on data strategy and initiatives
Required Education, Experience & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum of 7 years of experience in data management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Proven track record of managing large-scale MDM programs
Solid understanding of data governance principles and practices
Superb communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical collaborators
Experience with MDM tools and technologies
Experience working with global virtual and co-located team structures
Excellent Program and Project management skills
Experience in presenting to Executive Management
Solid ability to deal with a high degree of ambiguity and drive clarity
Experience working with collaborators to surface detailed requirements information
Excellent listening skills to understand and interpret collaborator responses
Strong facilitation skills to lead requirements and user story sessions
Good interpersonal skills to help negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts
Strong analytical capabilities
Strong documentation skills
Must have a detailed understanding of Data Governance
Ability to travel up to 10-15% (national and international)
