This role is responsible for the execution of Corporate operational strategies within assigned Produce Redistribution Center (PRC), safe, accurate and timely receiving, storage, selection and loading of all products. Strive to make the warehouse operate in a profitable and safe manner. Drive continues improvement through “hands on” approach.

Responsibilities:

Produce Redistribution Center (PRC), Operations Manager :

  • Responsible for development of 3rd party (PRC) warehouse operations through training on policy & procedures, education by assisting in problem resolution when required and leading by example.

  • Create a cohesive organization by keeping lines of communication open and insure efficient workflow.

  • Responsible for day-to-day management of QA personnel including performance management.

  • Develop production flow processes and identify process improvement and cost reduction strategies.

  • Establish and maintain operational procedures for activities such as verifying incoming shipments, handling and disposition of product and warehouse inventory accuracy.

  • Responsible for the P&L of the assigned PRC facility and monitor a variety of operational data. Metrics to include: inventory losses, production goals and safety reports, Identify problems and determine causes and drive resolution.

  • Monitor and ensures integrity of our products and ensures that food safety standards are met in the assigned PRC facility.

  • Ensure the facility and equipment is in constant compliance with all Federal and State OSHA and HACCP regulations and requirements.

  • Executes Sales Incentive billings (CASIS) to vendors and assisting Replenishment with the Alert Date process.

  • Filing EZ- claims with suppliers for quality and shortages.

  • Work directly with 3rd party partners and QA team to identify any variances in inventory and damage claims.

  • Collaborate, when necessary with replenishment lead, QA and 3rd party partners on dumps, damages, produce re-work, Invoicing and closing of 3rd party invoices, verifying item slotting, clearing of alert reports, and approving and billing sample requests.

  • Insures 3rd party operating system works effectively with US Foods operational system. Facilitates necessary changes for system enhancements.

  • Oversight of 3rd Party management team ensure the performance standards and financial goals are met.

Education/Training :

  • College degree or equivalent experience.

Related Experience :

  • A minimum of five years experience in warehouse supervision required.

  • Experience in perishable food distribution strongly preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Able to interpret financial and operational data

  • Basic computer skills; Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HAACP and other regulatory requirements

  • Strong leadership, communication and people development skills

  • broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures.

  • Must be flexible to work modified shifts to support the division’s needs
