Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, LLC (IBJI),Chicagoland\'s premier
orthopedic medical practice with several Chicago and suburban locations,
has a Full Time Year Round rehabilitation technician opening at our Des
Plaines Rehab Services location.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to work 20
hours per week year-round in an orthopedic physical and occupational
therapy setting within IBJI\'s Rehab Services Division.

Job Summary
A rehabilitation technician is under the general technician supervisor
and management team at the site of employment. The main objectives of
this position is to support the staff with a team-oriented approach in
delivering exceptional customer service and care with the goal of
improving a patients overall quality of life.
Essential Duties
- Provide excellent customer service and communication to therapy
patients, therapists, physician staff, and clients in a fast paced
orthopedic rehab office.
- Daily clinic maintenance: including but not limited to cleaning
treatment tables and equipment, change out linen, stocking supplies.
- Keep exercise equipment in an orderly fashion and out of the way of
patients to maintain safe conditions in the clinic.
- Daily, weekly and monthly checks of maintenance tasks to stay
compliant with IBJI guidelines. 5. Act as an extender to the
therapists; assist clinicians with carrying out exercise programs
for patients including set up on equipment and modalities.
- Communicate with therapist on any observations made during the
patient\'s exercise program. 7. Take initiative in assisting
clinicians with patient care.
- Print home exercise program for patients under the direction of the
clinician.
- Inventory of both clinical and non-clinical materials.
- For clinics that utilize techs for front desk support, follow best
practice procedures that involve clerical duties: including but not
limited to checking in patients, scheduling appointments, taking
co-pays, scanning, answering the phone.
- Provide daily support to the rehab staff and management team.
- Follows HIPAA guidelines by protecting the patient\'s identity.
- Ability to work with patients regardless of diagnosis, age, or
background.
- Maintain a positive attitude in clinic.
- Demonstrates professionalism with prompt work attendance and
flexibility with established work hours. 16. All other duties as
assigned.
