Job Title: Seasonal Forklift Operator - 1st Shift
Job Description:
Setting up machine on the line
Stacking pallets of bagged salt with forklift
Operating bagging machine (fills and seals bag)
Shoveling salt outside when needed (spills)
Loading and unloading flat bed trucks of product with forklift
Cleaning work area daily
Completing production paperwork accurately, reporting during and at the end of shift
Keeping accurate records of production data
Candidates will have a mix of Production and Forklift duties during their day. They will not be on the forklift 100% of the time each day.
Shift Details:
1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 4:00 pm (45-minute lunch break, staggered schedule)
Fridays are primarily for clean-up/catch-up unless behind on production, then it will be a full production day.
Overtime: Candidates can volunteer for half or full days on Saturdays when needed by the manager. Expect to work 6 days/week during the winter months, which is the busy season.

The work environment is a rock salt mine, and the work is outside in the elements.
Dress code includes jeans/shorts, a T-shirt with no offensive language or logos, and steel-toed boots/shoes. Uniforms will be provided when hired permanently.
