Job Description SummaryEnterprise is seeking a Rural Housing Senior Program Director to join our National Initiatives team. The ideal candidate will be a skilled program developer and leader, experience in affordable housing financing sources and providing technical assistance to construct and preserve rural rental housing.  The Senior Program Director will primarily be responsible for providing direct technical assistance and capacity building to partners focused on building and preserving America's rural rental housing stock. This Senior Program Director will be a member of the Rocky Mountain, Tribal Nations and Rural Market team and will work in partnership with a multi-disciplinary team of Enterprise employees, partners, consultants, and Enterprise market teams. This position will report to the Director, Rural Programs.

The Rural Housing Senior Program Director will be a full-time employee of Enterprise.The position can be based in one of our 11 markets, remotely, or in our Denver market office.The Senior Program Director will work in rural communities nationally. Must be available to travel up to 35% time.

Job Description The Senior Program Director will be responsible for implementing the rural programs' housing and economic development strategies, providing direct technical assistance, coaching and training to nonprofit organizations, government agencies and other stakeholders pursuing affordable housing and community economic development opportunities in rural and tribal communities.

Responsibilities Have vision for and implement events and activities designed to foster learning and sharing for grantees and others, ability to identify and develop plans for technical assistance and training, ability to navigate and identify experts within Enterprise to support the adoption and scaling of the work of participants. Provide technical assistance and capacity building resources for the development and preservation of rural housing. Work with developers, lenders, appraisers, state agencies and other stakeholders as needed to support project development and preservation. Work may include technical assistance to Native American housing organizations and for projects located on tribal lands. Deliver training and information to nonprofit organizations, government entities, local communities and others to enhance their capacity to respond to their housing needs. Collaborate with market staff to deploy programing as relevant to rural communities. Implement Rural Rental Housing Preservation Academy programing with team members. Represent Enterprise at external meetings and conferences. Support or lead other programmatic activities of the Rocky Mountain, Tribal Nations and Rural Market as identified by the Director.
