Position:                                 Welder Fitter

*Shift:  *                                     Day Shift

Essential Responsibilities:

• Set-up and Tig or Mig weld various gages of steel and aluminum without a fixture.
• Set-up and operate welding machines.
• Read decimals, tape measure.
• Read blue prints and following welding processes and procedures as required.
• Use calipers, height gages, and micrometer.
• Adhere to safety standards.
• Welding aluminum and steel.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Related experience or vocational training.
• Hand to eye coordination.
• Technical capacity.
• Ethical conduct.
• Willingness to support other departments.
• Team oriented.

* Essential Physical Requirements*

• Ability to stand for long periods of time, in excess of 8 hours.
• Life and/or carry at least 50 pounds.
• Frequent walking, reaching with hands and arms; stooping, bending, twisting, squatting and kneeling.
• Moderate to high noise level.
