Aston Carter Entry-Level Estimating Coordinator in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania

Description

This position will prepare cost estimates, proposals and RFI and RFQ responses for product/system manufacturing and integration projects, or services.

Job Duties:

  • Support sales program with comprehensive, informative, persuasive and well written technical proposals in response to customer requests.

  • Evaluate opportunity/bidding environment, client expectations, design criteria and competitive concerns to determine best path to generate cost/price estimate.

  • Coordinate knowledge base from all facets of the company to develop an accurate cost estimate and support data for responses.

  • Generate cost estimate with accuracy to 1% of actual project costs for contracts valued below $200K and 2% for contracts valued greater than $200K.

  • Compile consistent and professional documentation package to present to potential clients according to format and schedule requirements.

  • Package and submit proposal responses to meet or exceed bid due dates and comply with other response time schedules.

  • Organize details and process and transfer relevant information to project team for all inbound contracts/purchase orders within 24 hours.

  • Enter, update and maintain estimation information including won/lost status in the ERP and company file storage system.

  • Request external supplier component/product information and pricing to support estimation effort.

  • Register company with appropriate bid administration services.

  • Support marketing initiatives and project deliverables as needed.

  • Create electronic forms and templates as directed.

  • Provide peer review and guidance of all estimation deliverables.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or other related field

  • 2+ years related experience in accounting, business, analyzing data, or procurement preferred

  • ERP system basic navigation and input skills a plus

  • Good computer skills
