What to Expect
The Payroll Systems
Analyst will be our subject matter expert for UKG Pro and other Finance ERP
systems. All data that comes into or leaves these systems will be managed by
this role. Enhancing, testing, maintaining, and building this system to be
compliant, accurate, secure, and efficient will be your focus. You will need a
deep knowledge of UKG Pro or equivalent payroll processing software and you will
report to the Senior Payroll Manager of North American Operations.
Payroll is integrated in every facet of business, and we
operate in a constantly evolving and demanding environment. The Payroll Systems
Analyst role is critical to meeting business demands by ensuring the systems
reliability and performance are always at their peak.
What You'll Do
- Work with Finance, IT, HR, Business
Intelligence, and other business partners to ensure that imported and exported data
from UKG Pro is accurate and optimized
- Constantly increase expertise in
all facets of UKG Pro and other ERP system processes
- Oversee UKG Pro system enhancement,
optimization, setup, and controls
- Drive payroll accuracy and
timeliness through the creation of clean, reliable, and scalable "single-source-of-truth"
data sets
- Partner with payroll to provide a
streamlined and compliant processing platform and experience
- Provide payroll system data for
metrics and KPI's to provide transparency to internal decision makers
- Assist management in maintaining
the security of the payroll data and in completing related SOX controls
- Perform rigorous analyses on large
and complex data sets from IBM Cognos BI to facilitate and simplify payroll
operations. Provide strategic insights, hypotheses, and conclusions based upon findings
to better anticipate and meet business needs
- Provide project leadership,
execution, and documentation on core payroll system functions, customs, and
compliance
- Perform UAT and new release
testing of key ERP system changes in a documented, accurate, and timely manner
- Prepare professional business presentations,
dashboard, and metrics that are predominantly data driven with calculated
targets
What You'll Bring
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Evidence of exceptional ability
- 4+ years of experience in payroll systems
- Experience with UKG Pro a major plus
- Experience with commercial and
emerging BI databases, technologies: SQL Server [SQL] and IBM Cognos Bi or
equivalent
- Experience creating custom reports
and data connectors
- Experience with advanced Excel BI functionality
and languages (Power Query [M], PowerPivot [DAX]) a plus
- Experience with data analytics
tools and languages a plus (R, Python)
- Demonstrated success in driving
positive change in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
- Curious with a need to understand
why and how processes work
- Intelligence and ingenuity to
solve complex problems
- Ability to work independently,
detail-oriented, and execution focused
- Strong written and verbal
communication skills
