Shire Regional S&OP & Demand Planning Lead in Dublin, Ireland

Note: This position can be based in Either Dublin (Ireland) or Warsaw (Poland). Depending on the successful candidates location.

Primary Role

Leading EMEA Sales and operations planning (S&OP) and Demand Planning process. Responsible for Demand Analysis in support of the EMEA region including preparation of monthly S&OP reports and presentations for the major product groups and EMEA region. Support the EMEA Region response to tender business by incorporating tender information into demand forecast. Partner with Commercial, Finance and Tech Ops colleagues to perform analysis required for decision-making and long range planning.

This individual will be responsible for the timely completion of goals and objectives. The individual will be responsible for ensuring all relevant Supply Chain Demand Management and S&OP systems are appropriately developed, maintained and improved.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities

o 80% - S&OP and Demand Planning: Driving harmonized and robust S&OP and Demand Management process in the four Commercial Regions (DACH, FR-BENELUX, Europe and EAMEA) that constitute the EMEA Supply Chain Region.

Leading Regional S&OP process in 4 EMEA regions

Executing EMEA standardized Demand Planning process across 60+ markets

Validating market forecasts through monthly analysis of historical and projected demand.

Ensuring strict adherence to Global Supply Chain S&OP and Demand Planning calendar.

Preparing monthly EMEA region analysis to support Global Demand Planning review.

Representing EMEA region during monthly franchise pre S&OP meetings.

Analysing and presenting balance between service level, investment in stock level (MRB) and forecast accuracy during Regional S&OP meetings

Supporting Center of Excellence S&OP and Demand Planning for EMEA: providing training, ways of working and leading improvement initiatives.

Ensuring incorporation of accurate tender information into the Demand Plans.

Feeding Regional S&OP process with Tender analysis and flagging potential risks.

Ensuring continuous improvement through Supply Chain leader’s monthly feedback to each region, cluster and market.

o 20% - Cross Functional teams: Sitting on cross functional teams/sub-teams to resolve systemic and systematic network issues across various areas of technical and life cycle complexity that ultimately support product in the market where poor decisions impact brand availability and Shire sales.

Education & Experience Requirements

Essential:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or equivalent.

  • 5 years of progressive experience in various supply chain management roles within the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industries.

  • Recent experience (past 3 years) working within the pharma/biotech/ healthcare industry

  • Proficient SAP user skills

  • Experience working within commercial supply chain position.

  • Experience in using various demand planning systems for example Kinaxis, SAP APO

Desired:

  • Knowledge of Demand Management systems

  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office tools

  • Ability to think “outside the box” and be well versed in Supply Chain

  • Effective written and oral communication skills are required to facilitate information flow across internal / external supply chain partners and senior leadership.

  • Knowledge of different aspects of regulatory compliance that impact a pharmaceutical supply chain.

  • Must be able to demonstrate analytical ability in supporting change within an organization. This could include systems, processes or tools to drive success

  • Able to recognize the importance of meeting business needs and balance cost, quality and customer service
