Purpose of the Role,
In this position, the Senior Supply Chain Specialist will drive strategic planning execution for Abbott Ireland Diabetes Care’s European Third-Party Manufacturing (TPM) Division at TPM facilities in Dublin and Cork.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with good knowledge of Supply Chain. We are looking for ambitious, results driven and goal focused team members who want to help maximise the effectiveness of the supply chain operation while growing their career within the Diabetes Care Division.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with Supply Chain experience preferable. Experience of supply chain in medical device industry is an advantage but not a necessity.
Third-Party/Contract Manufacturing Experience.
Experience with production planning and procurement, MRP and ERP systems, SAP preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Project Management and Leadership Skills.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong organisational, prioritisation, trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with ability to adapt to evolving market and operational dynamics.

Strategic Planning capabilities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead monthly S&OP review meetings providing visibility to SLT of current volume outlook and supply risk and longer-term operational considerations driving alignment and initiatives to improve operational efficiencies.
Partner with ADC Global Supply and NPI teams to ensure long range planning is in alignment with internal requirements, the agreed NPI pipeline and TPM requirements.
Drive execution of build requirements at Irish TPMs to support on market SKU changes and NPI Customer Launch Dates.
Support scenario planning analysis and modelling providing recommendations to upper management.
Work with TPMs on long range capacities to feed into internal system challenging assumptions and numbers provided to optimize available capacity.
Manage shortage of material and provide business impact and mitigation scenarios working to minimise customer and financial impact.
Drive Supply Chain continuous improvement projects and initiatives optimize project’s SC value stream and results.
Lead strategic project activity acting as the Supply Chain representative on cross functional teams ensuring activity aligns with business requirements.
Promote Operational Excellence through establishing and sustaining KPI metrics.
