Job Opportunity: Supply Management Planner
Location: John Deere Dubuque Works
Employment Type: Full-Time, contingent
Start time between Start time between 6 AM - 8 AM, working a full 8-hour shift.
No planned overtime currently; however, minimal OT may occasionally be required.
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Supply Management Planner to join our team. This critical role involves managing supplier relationships, overseeing inventory, and ensuring the operational efficiency of supply chain activities. Your expertise in SAP, Excel, and materials planning will allow you to excel in a fast-paced environment, strengthening processes and contributing to continuous supply chain improvement. Responsibilities:
• Execute supply chain planning activities within a defined framework/system of low complexity.
• Manage the day-to-day performance and relationships of assigned suppliers across various commodities.
• Collaborate with suppliers to analyze performance and provide actionable feedback on supplier management metrics.
• Collect information on market dynamics, cost drivers, and alternative suppliers to support informed decision-making.
• Identify and report on discrepancies or inventory-related issues following established procedures.
• Support contract negotiations/renegotiations with data and performance reports.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing existing operations and identifying new opportunities.
• Assist stakeholders by organizing meetings, actions, and events to maintain alignment.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of industry best practices, regulations, and technologies through training and education.

Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Strong proficiency with SAP and Excel ideal.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to collaborate across various job functions via phone and email.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Experience in materials planning or buying is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated analytical, data collection, and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with concepts such as costing/budgeting, procurement process management, and inventory management.
• Bachelor's degree or post-secondary education
