This position is 30 hours a week with the following schedule: M-F, 9am-3:30pm The pay rate for this position starts at $22.42/hour General Description: Work requires the application of knowledge and skills to recurring tasks or activities with emphasis typically on precision and timeliness of execution. Independence and Decision Making Work is performed under general supervision. Progress and outcomes are frequently observed/reviewed. The work is largely scripted by established procedures and guidelines. Complexity and Problem Solving Problems tend to be of limited scope and complexity. Generally, problems can be quickly and relatively easily resolved. Responsibilities: Administers accurate and timely processing, reconciliation, reporting, and settling cash bags, vault, deposits, credit card batches, and other nancial transactions. (60%) Oversees the accurate and timely processing, reconciliation, reporting, collection, and deposits of cash and card transactions for vending services. (15%) Responsible for opening and closing the Cash Room, which includes oce sweep, a clear sign, cash vault, and arming and disarming of the alarm. Responsible for processing & documenting internal and external sales invoices. (20%) Remains current on all University, State, and Federal regulations and procedures aecting nancial and accounting practices. Assures compliance with established department policies, procedures, and objectives. Works with the Oce of Budgets and Personnel (OBP) to generate nancial reports, and coordinate the functions of cash and accounts payable to accurately reect business transactions. Works with the Oce of Budgets and Personnel (OBP) to supervise the activities of accounts receivable to ensure accurate and timely management of all accounts receivables aging components. Oversees training, coaching, and documenting cash handling practices, PCI-DSS compliance, and POS workstation training. (5%) Monitors Dining Services Dashboard for reporting accuracy (sales, labor, waste, etc.). Supervisor to manage and approve time-o requests and payroll according to the Bargaining Unit(s) contracts. Procient knowledge of G Suite, Excel, and ability to quickly learn other required nancial software. Attend and participate in mandatory training and workshops. Supervision: The employee in this classication may be assigned these responsibilities: mentor/coach or provide guidance; lead project teams, committees, and/or collaborative eorts; interview applicants; assign, schedule, direct work, and/or evaluate the work of colleagues and/or coworkers. When this position gains the authority to supervise, this position will have the perform or to eectively recommend the following actions: hire, transfer, suspend, promote, discharge, assign, work, reward, discipline, direct the work of other employees, and adjust grievances. Qualifications Required Qualications High School diploma/GED and four years of general accounts transaction experience. Training may be substituted for some of the years of experience. Preferred Qualifications BA/BS degree or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years.
