ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Warehouse Lead will assist the Operations Manager in managing warehouse staffing and operations.

  • Manages the daily warehouse workload and staffing.

  • Assists Operations Manager to hire and train new employees.

  • Schedules and oversees the warehouse staff.

  • Fosters collaboration within the team to identify ways to improve departmental effectiveness; implements new work processes that drive continuous improvements.

  • Transfers inventory to trucks for delivery in a timely manner and according to schedule.

  • Schedules materials/tools being transferred to and from warehouse; coordinates transfer of inventory between jobsites and branches.

  • Monitors warehouse expenditures; implements corrective actions if needed.

  • Enforces operating instructions and safety policies.

  • Assists Warehouse Process Specialist to fulfill PM and Foreman tool and equipment requests.

  • Purchases tools and consumables and coordinates with third party equipment and tool rentals.

  • Manage daily tool requisition input and returns.

  • Assist Project Managers and General Foremen with demobilization tool reports.

  • Update and maintain active tool list.

  • Assist Project Managers with tool transfers and reconciliation.

  • Work with finance department on tool related Spectrum projects.

  • Maintain crib track and oversee daily transactions.

  • Additional tasks as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous leadership experience in a warehouse operation.

  • Experience in the building trades preferred; knowledge of materials and tools used in the construction

  • Supervisory and leadership skills to effectively manage employees.

  • Outstanding planning, follow through, and time management skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and

  • Highly organized with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Good communication skills, both written and

  • Proficiency with data entry and inventory software (Spectrum software preferred.)

  • Basic skills such as inspection, math, and reading.

  • Forklift certification preferred.

  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and Motor Vehicle Record

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This job operates in a warehouse environment and is exposed to weather conditions.

  • Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) per warehouse requirements, including but not limited to, hard toe work boots, safety glasses, gloves and, high visibility vest.

  • This role occasionally uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines.

  • Employees are frequently required to sit, stand, and occasionally required to bend, kneel, reach, stoop, or crouch.

  • This position may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
