Job Purpose or Objective(s): Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchens in the facility while following all safety and sanitation standards on the chemicals used to clean multiple food and beverage venues and all relevant equipment. You will report to the Executive Steward.
Primary Tasks:
You will manage daily activities of the Stewarding staff and overnight kitchen Deep Cleaning Department while overseeing all departmental organization, cleaning schedules, and sanitation standards.
Follow and teach proper safety and standard operating procedure training of all Kitchen Stewarding staff on assigned shift in the use of chemicals and sanitary handling of all Food and Beverage equipment and utensils.
You will ensure all equipment is used and maintained following proper procedures.
Oversee the deep cleaning of the facility and equipment and tools for the operations.
You will recruit, schedule and train new Steward Associates and overnight Kitchen Deep Cleaning team members.
Monitor inventory to ensure accurate stock levels and order products and supplies.
You will address and resolve any concerns and communicate problems, challenges or unusual matters of significance.
Responsible for banquet set-up and breakdown on assigned shift.
Perform all other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements:
Ability to obtain SERV Safe Certification
General knowledge in the use of housekeeping/cleaning equipment and knowledge of chemicals as it relates to MSDS
Understand government public health and, or safety regulations
One (1) year prior Deep Cleaning, Stewarding, Housekeeping or Maintenance experience
