Tool Maker

Hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm

Leading manufacturer of air hose, tubing, and pneumatic accessories for the industrial, construction, and automotive aftermarkets. Products are designed for professional use, and can be found in factories, on job sites, and in auto repair and body shops across the country and around the world

This position will report to the VP/General Manager.

Essential Job Functions

Perform operations common to the toolmaker trade.

Works from blueprints, specifications, and diagrams.

Set up and operate all tool room machinery, such as grinders, mills, drills, lathes.

Construct precision parts for replacement on machines.

Make minor repairs to machines.

May be assigned additional duties and/or special fixture projects.

Provide and assist in training workforce in proper setup and use of equipment/systems.

Perform work in a safe manner, keeping tool room equipment clean and in safe working condition.

Skills and Experience

High School Diploma/GED or trade school and 4+ years of related experience.

Experience with machines to make tooling, using manual mills, lathes, drill press, band saw and hand grinder.

Proficiently operate all common machining equipment, mills, lathes, grinders.
